Well, this picture taken at 09:00 is not reflective of how hot it got post 10:00.  A scorching day, over 320 runners (entries were up by over 50% this year) entered this 5k and 10k event.  They ran through temperatures into their late 20's to reach their end goal so not many PB's that day but who could expect them in these conditions.

A great event, wonderfully organised by Jackie and Mark and the Samaritans supporters of the Bracknell, Wokingham & Ascot branch, I met some wonderful people who I am sure will be lifelong friends. Some inspiring stories and very determined livers of life out there.

Well done to everyone that took part and see you on the circuit next year.

And they are off, the start of the 5k, into the sun!

Strategically placed next to the cake stall!!
